Acceptable use policy
Better Fetch is for public or authorised web retrieval—not intrusion, abuse, surveillance, or evasion of access rights.
Effective 12 July 2026
Use only public or authorised access
You may use Better Fetch only for content and systems you are legally permitted to access. Credentials, cookies, stored sessions, challenge handling, and regional routing may be used only with the account owner's authority and in compliance with applicable law and contracts.
Prohibited uses
- Accessing private systems, accounts, networks, or non-public data without permission.
- Credential stuffing, phishing, malware delivery, exploit development against third parties, or bypassing paywalls and authentication controls.
- Evading a target's access decision after you know you are not authorised to continue.
- Denial of service, excessive load, destructive automation, spam, or interference with another service.
- Collection or use of sensitive personal data for unlawful surveillance, discrimination, eligibility decisions, stalking, or harassment.
- Infringing intellectual-property, privacy, database, publicity, or contractual rights.
- Misrepresenting identity, origin, consent, or the purpose of a request.
- Reselling account access or defeating credits, concurrency, session, or safety limits.
- Any activity prohibited by applicable sanctions, export controls, or law.
Responsible operation
- Use the least expensive and least intrusive strategy that works.
- Respect rate limits, robots directives where applicable, and target stability.
- Reuse caches and sessions instead of blindly repeating requests.
- Minimise collection and retain returned data only as long as necessary.
- Stop and investigate when a target indicates that access is blocked or unauthorised.
Enforcement and reporting
We may investigate, rate-limit, suspend, or terminate activity that threatens customers, targets, or the service. Report suspected abuse to abuse@betterfetch.co with relevant timestamps and non-sensitive evidence.
