Terms of service

The rules for using Better Fetch responsibly, paying for the service, and understanding the limits of a live-web retrieval product.

Effective 12 July 2026

1. Agreement

These terms form an agreement between you and Better Fetch, operated from Queensland, Australia. By creating an account, connecting a client, or using the API, MCP server, tools, website, or related services, you agree to these terms and the acceptable use policy. If you use Better Fetch for an organisation, you confirm that you can bind that organisation.

2. The service

Better Fetch retrieves and processes live web content using direct HTTP, browser automation, optional network routing, stored browser sessions, structured extraction, and ready-made tools. Web targets change without notice, so no result, target compatibility, or uninterrupted access is guaranteed.

You remain responsible for deciding whether you may access a target, use credentials, process returned data, and rely on an output. Better Fetch does not grant rights to third-party websites or their content.

3. Accounts and credentials

  • Keep API keys, OAuth tokens, and connected-client access secure.
  • Use separate keys for separate systems and revoke exposed keys promptly.
  • Do not share an account in a way that defeats plan or session limits.
  • Tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised access.

You are responsible for activity admitted through your credentials.

4. Plans, credits, and billing

Current plan prices, included credits, and session limits appear on the pricing page. Unless a product surface says otherwise, a request consumes credits when Better Fetch accepts it, including when the target later blocks, times out, or returns an error. Ordinary retrieval costs one credit. Pro and Scale residential attempts use the higher rate published on the pricing and documentation pages, and are charged only when they actually occur. Tool pages show estimated multi-step credit use before a run.

Paid plans renew until cancelled. Taxes may apply. Upgrades take effect when payment completes. Downgrades and cancellation normally take effect at the end of the paid period, after which the account returns to the current free entitlement. Except where consumer law requires otherwise, fees already incurred are non-refundable.

5. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, deprecate, or discontinue features to protect customers, targets, or the service. We will use reasonable efforts to communicate material breaking changes. Published status information is operational evidence, not a contractual service-level agreement.

6. Suspension and termination

We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate access for security risk, abuse, unlawful activity, non-payment, material breach, or behaviour that harms the service, a target, or another customer. You may stop using the service and cancel a paid plan at any time.

7. Intellectual property

You retain rights in inputs you are entitled to provide and outputs to the extent permitted by applicable law and third-party rights. Better Fetch retains rights in the service, software, branding, documentation, and first-party tools. Feedback may be used to improve the service without obligation.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Better Fetch excludes implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages, loss of data, target-site action, or reliance on retrieved content. Better Fetch's aggregate liability for a claim is limited to fees you paid for the service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Governing law

Queensland law governs these terms. Courts with jurisdiction in Queensland have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
